Don’t get me wrong, dear followers, I will still post good Sherlock things, still read fanfiction and admire fanart and such but

do what you will. I don’t find the jam/kitten/rage jokes funny anymore, but I will admit that’s a personal preference

I hate hate hate hate the terms ‘Freebitches’ and ‘Cumberbitches’ 

and some of you - not all of you, but enough of you to be a significant number - are just downright embarassing

Like, I’m aware that a lot of fandoms have dumbshits and squealing fangirls/boys but this

sharing artwork - NSFW and shippy artwork - with the creators of the show was a fucking slap in the face to those artists

the fucking tags of the actors are a piece of nonsense

spreading around those pictures of Martin’s kids after you’d been specifically requested not to not just by Amanda Abbington, but by Martin himself, if that one message Rosalia got when the pictures just came out is to be believed, (and you’re goddamn right I believe it was Martin, because we know that at that point he was aware of Rosalia’s blog. I’m not saying he was stalking tumblr and all that nonsense, but he just knew about Rosalia’s as a fanblog in it’s own right) that was utterly, utterly terrible. Especially since a good amount of the people doing it were aware that the kid’s parents had asked that they weren’t spread around and just didn’t care

now you’re asking who the creators ship??

being able to converse and interact with the creators of shows you love is a fucking privilege and all you can ask is who they fucking ship?

fandom is a very personal thing to me, and there has to be a line between fandom and creators

to the Sherlock fandom (in general) that line has been crossed so many times - the line is a dot to you

and you know what, I’m not going to be an arsehole about this, I’m not going to try and tell people what to put on their blogs, and I won’t be offended if you unfollow me for saying any of this

but I just

I really cannot consider myself as part of the Sherlock fandom when a lot of you act like bratty children and disregard the beautiful cinematography and sharp writing and wonderful acting that comes from the show in favour of screaming about your ships and bashing on characters who are female and going OMG GATISS IS THE BIGGEST SHIPPER BECAUSE HE IS GAY TOO LOL U TROLL!!1

(Don’t think I’m dismissing you all as this, I’m well aware that there are a huge amount of wonderful people in the Sherlock fandom, and each has their own tastes in fandom jokes and so on. We have some amazing talent in this fandom as well. But what I’m saying is get a fucking grip if you’re the type of person who is being embarrassing as fuck for the rest of us in this fandom.)
